This is my work machine. I take care of all my Interneting and file storage from it. It is hardened. I really don't like all the gui bloom, but I do like a gui. My first raid and hardened setup. My longest running install of gentoo over an year old I want to think. If not very close. Wish I knew exactly now.
I Have Gkrellm going along w/ my tortoise cam. Gentoo does not hickup even in modest settings. Unless it's my fault ofc. ;)

Screenshot shows my desktop Gentoo system. I'm using Openbox with cairo-compmgr. Applications from left to right...irssi in in tilda, aterm to get the output of emerge -info |head -n 1 in the screenshot, Openbox menu showing the use of pipe menus to select an R script to edit, gVim with an R script being edited, and conky showing various information. Under conky is netwmpager and two cairo-dock applets to control my volume and Audacious. At the top is stalonetray and along the bottom is pypanel.
